As we enter Alberta’s COVID-19 Phase 3 of opening you will notice that patients are still required to wear masks, use hand sanitizer and be respectful of social distancing. The pandemic is not over, and segments of the public remain vulnerable [children under the age of 12, persons with underlying health conditions and unvaccinated individuals]. Oral healthcare providers need to remain diligent in applying infection prevention and control practices based on the premise that everyone is potentially infective. For this reason, the ADA&C and AHS standards of practice must be followed as we continue to reduce the risk of the spread of infection.
Our commitment to provide a safe environment for your dental appointment has always been our priority.
We continue to update all patient files with a new comprehensive medical history. If you are a new patient or existing patient seeing us for the first time since the onset of COVID 19, we ask that you complete the medical history form.
We are also required by the Alberta Dental Association to have all patients complete a COVID screening. We will start to do this with a verbal questionnaire when we confirm your appointment or when you arrive for your scheduled appointment.
If you have any cold or flu like symptoms, are waiting for Covid-19 test results, have been a close contact with a confirmed Covid case, have been asked to isolate or have been out of country within 2 weeks; we ask that you kindly cancel and rebook your dental appointment. Any changes to your dental insurance are to be brought to our attention before your appointment.
